What is EMDR Therapy? Why is it one of the highest recommended treatments for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and how can it apply to me?

Michael offers Psychotherapy from a transpersonal approach ('self beyond the ego'), and specializes in clinical treatment through EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing). This technique was orginally developed to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and can be applied to virtually any other kind of physical or emotional trauma from chronic pain, depression and sleep disorders to panic attacks. While you may not be experiencing the more serious symptoms of PTSD, undergoing EMDR can significantly reduce the time required by conventional talk therapy to resolve other issues stemming from past emotional trauma. Being physiologically based, it is a process of self-healing that releases the 'frozen' traumatic signature of past events, and restores the client to mental, emotional and physical well-being. In the cause of trauma, one is able to recall the event without being re-triggered.
